A Personal Note from the Founder

 Hey everyone,

I want to sincerely apologise for the delays and service issues over the past 8 weeks or so. I know many of you have been waiting longer than expected for your orders, and I completely understand how frustrating that is. When you place an order, you expect it on time and that’s absolutely fair.

The last couple of months have been a lot. Running a business solo is already a challenge but last year I was unexpectedly kicked out of my home due to racism right before my 21st birthday. That experience took away what was supposed to be a milestone moment and the summer I had looked forward to. This year, I’ve been trying to reclaim a bit of that time while still showing up for you guys but also myself.

I was also really unwell last month, which contributed to delays. But none of this is an excuse just honest context. I take full accountability for the fact that our service hasn’t met the standard you deserve. Any delayed orders have been compensated with either discount codes or free products as stated in our shipping policy but I know that doesn’t undo the inconvenience and for that I truly am sorry.

To everyone who’s shown patience, extended grace, or just continued to support—thank you. Being a neurodivergent business owner (with ADHD and autism) comes with unique hurdles but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’m currently rebuilding better systems for more structure, consistency and a smoother experience across the board.

Important Product & Shipping Updates

Orders containing Loc Spray, Hair Butter, or Conditioner are currently experiencing delays. If your order includes any of these items, you will be compensated accordingly. Thank you for bearing with us during this time.

In addition, our Hair Butter will not be discontinued for the summer like it usually is. However, due to rising temperatures and the delicate nature of the product, it will now be made to order in small batches. This change is to prevent the butter from melting and reforming while sitting in storage - which can ruin its texture and effectiveness.

Please note:

  • If you order Hair Butter, expect potential delays due to the made-to-order process.
  • We recommend storing it in the fridge to help it stay whipped.
  • If it melts during transit, it’s still safe and effective to use—it’ll just take on a balm like texture. You can rewhip at home if you would like to using a hand mixer.
  • The tub still contains the full amount of product. Whipped butters look fuller, while melted ones appear lower in volume due to density.
